I’m a co-producer with Ken Burns, working in Brooklyn. My team (with David McMahon and Sarah Burns) just finished up a four-hour biography of Jackie Robinson; and we produced The Central Park Five.
I’m in search of any strong students — grad or undergrad — would would be interested in interning with us. Our interns come on shoots; sit in on screenings; as well as normal intern tasks (transcription, logging, entering metadata). All internships are paid hourly, and take place one or two days per week in our office in Gowanus, Brooklyn. It can be a great opportunity for anyone interested learning about the nuts and bolts of making historical documentaries. We are currently working on a film about the history of public housing.
