A team of makeup artists from beauty giant Revlon came to Hunter to teach journalism students how to look their best on camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students in Prof. Sissel McCarthy\u2019s Studio News Production class learned from the experts how to apply high-definition makeup ahead of their first Hunter News Now newscast on March 12.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cThe key to a natural look is to start with primer,\u201d said Antonette Bivona, a senior director of Global Product Development at Revlon. \u201cThen you apply foundation that matches your skin tone at the jawline.\u201d Foundation is key to smooth out all the imperfections that the high-def camera will pick up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each student also received a customized bag of Revlon products that matched their coloring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three other members of the glam squad, Trinity Serra, Lauren Woods and Melody Langjahr, demonstrated techniques for applying eye makeup, lip color and blush to heighten and define cheekbones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once that\u2019s done, Bivona said it\u2019s time to set the makeup with translucent powder. \u201cBut that\u2019s not my final step,\u201d said Bivona. \u201cI like to use a little concealer at the corner of the eye to lighten and brighten the whole look.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
