If you\u2019re a student journalist, you can apply for a chance to win $2,500. If selected, you will attend the annual awards dinner as an honored guest. Hunter student Kadia Goba won the scholarship in 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must complete an electronic application form by 11:59 pm on <strong>Wednesday, March 16<\/strong>, and write a 300-word essay describing why you want to pursue a journalism career and how the scholarship would help you attain your goals. Applicants must also submit a portfolio of three published samples from any platform. Two letters of recommendations are required as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is open to graduate and undergraduate journalism students in the New York metropolitan area.
