{"id":6027,"date":"2022-03-09T15:05:01","date_gmt":"2022-03-09T20:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fm.hunter.cuny.edu\/journalism\/?p=6027"},"modified":"2022-03-10T16:47:57","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T21:47:57","slug":"journalist-anna-catherine-brigida-speaks-about-her-pulitzer-center-backed-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fm.hunter.cuny.edu\/journalism\/index.php\/2022\/03\/09\/journalist-anna-catherine-brigida-speaks-about-her-pulitzer-center-backed-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Journalist Anna-Catherine Brigida Speaks About Her Pulitzer Center-Backed Project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"block-b06bc90e-9f0f-42dd-8dcf-c2f8dea81757\" class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fm.hunter.cuny.edu\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image.png\" alt=\"This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image.png\" width=\"416\" height=\"498\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Journalist Anna-Catherine Brigida will be discussing her report, \u201cFrom Texas to Central America: How Tough Policies in the COVID-19 Era Are Endangering Asylum Seekers,\u201d in an in-person event at the Roosevelt House on Tuesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. Director of the Hunter College Journalism Program, Professor Sissel McCarthy, will moderate the event sponsored by the Pulitzer Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brigida spoke to multiple migrants about their experiences at the border to shed light on President Trump\u2019s migrant policies and their impact on migrants as the virus spread.
