MEDPL 388 teaches you how to anchor and produce a live newscast for the Hunter community. Students take turns reporting on Hunter College news, sports and arts for the bi-weekly, student-run show, Hunter News Now.\u00a0This class is a great opportunity to practice your multimedia skills in a close-to-real-life newsroom environment.\u00a0The pre-requisite MEDPL 283 News Video Reporting can be waived for students with strong shooting and editing experience who have already taken MEDPL 202.\u00a0Please contact Prof. Sissel McCarthy at sissel.mccarthy@hunter.cuny.edu<\/a> if you are interested.<\/p>\n

And spots are also open in the new Hunter Athenian<\/a> class (Neighborhood News, MEDPL 37700<\/a>), where students produce a news site for Hunter College.\u00a0If you have issues you want to expose, people you want to profile, problems you want to solve or events you want to highlight, taking this class will let you do it.\u00a0Students cover five stories a semester.
