THE JOURNALISM PROGRAM PRESENTS: “HOW TO WIN THE INFORMATION WAR” ON 10/20

Tackling disinformation is like playing a game of Whac-a-Mole, according to Nina Jankowicz, the former head of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board. Here’s the good news: There are many things news consumers can do to ensure we are not part of the problem. Jankowicz will share those strategies on Thursday, October 20, from 6 to 7 pm during a meeting on Zoom. She will also talk to students about how countries like Russia use disinformation as a geopolitical strategy and how the U.S. can win the war against disinformation. The meeting is open to all students, and you can RSVP at http://how-to-win-info-war.eventbrite.com
