Contagion Coverage 2020 Redesigned, Relaunched With 80+ Hunter Student Reports

More than 80 student reports in text, video, audio and infographic form now grace a newly relaunched Contagion Coverage 2020 page on the Hunter Journalism web site. New video content comes from Hunter News Now, and other stories have been added from reporting classes and student portfolios.

The project was first started in March, as Hunter journalism students urgently turned their attention to documenting the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Since then, the page has been continuously updated with new material by its co-editors Rich Mendez and Kalli Siringas, Hunter Journalism students and interns in the Journalism Program.

The student journalism showcase has now been redesigned to better organize subjects like “Student Life at Home,” “Mental Health and Creativity,” “Career News and Tips” and news from Hunter, CUNY and New York.

If you’re a Hunter student, faculty or staff member who wishes to share your stories or work about the pandemic, please email us at hunterjournalism@gmail.com

Please come back regularly for updates. Thank you and stay safe!
