Job Description

amNewYork Editorial Fall Internship

Applicants will be required to write both news and feature stories, copy edit and do fact checking. The ideal candidates are hard-working, meticulous and self-motivated team players with previous newspaper and online experience.

Interns work out of amNewYork’s Manhattan office, or in the field. We are looking for students who are looking for an internship catering to specifically the following subjects: News; sports, online and social media; entertainment; gossip; fashion; and lifestyles (health, travel, dining.).

•Preferred majors: Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, English.

•To be eligible for this internship, you must be able to receive college credit.

•This internship is unpaid. and generally may be requested to work flexible hours due to business needs.

amNY.com Fall 2019 Internship

amNY.com is looking for interns for fall. Depending upon the department, interns can be News or Features focused, but all are thoughtful in breaking news situations – able to think and act quickly to file copy and interview witnesses on the scene. The ideal candidates are meticulous, detail-minded journalists and self-motivated team players with endless ideas about online storytelling. Pluses: You are comfortable taking photos, as well as shooting and cutting social videos. Interns work out of amNewYork’s midtown office and in the field.

•This is a fall internship. Preferred majors: Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications.

•Students may be requested to work flexible hours due to business needs.
