Job Description

Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, is looking for aspiring journalists for its 2020 summer internship program. The company welcomes passionate, curious reporters who want to tell stories for a global audience. Its paid internships are hands-on reporting positions covering business, political and general news.

Internships last for 10 weeks and begin in early June 2020. Most are in its New York and Washington bureaus, but opportunities may also exist in Mexico City, Toronto, San Francisco and Chicago.

Applicants must have completed at least two years of university. Competitive candidates will have some prior journalism experience, excellent writing and communication skills, a background in journalism, economics, business, law, accounting or computer science. They have ambitious journalistic goals and a hunger to develop news-wire reporting skills to meet them. These include working on a tightly knit team covering spot news, contributing collaboratively on deadline and pitching enterprising story ideas.

Our Journalism Concentration & Minor
