Calandra Italian American Institute of Queens College\/CUNY seeks applications for the position of Broadcast Associate who will report to the dean and work closely with the producer of the TV program\u00a0<em>Italics<\/em>. This is a 20-hour-per-week position.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DUTIES&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022&nbsp;20-hour workweek. Must be flexible to work 3 days a week (in person).\u2022&nbsp;Post-production: download footage, organize files, edit footage for&nbsp;<em>Italics&nbsp;<\/em>episodes at CUNY TV for broadcast and for&nbsp;<em>Italics&nbsp;<\/em>on YouTube; create promos, create titles and graphics; and related tasks.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022Research: information and supplemental footage\/still photos for final edit with link information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022Provide show information for episodes to&nbsp;<em>Italics&nbsp;<\/em>producer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022Camera Operation: possible remotes, in-house, both with producer and unsupervised.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022Perform other related duties appropriately assigned by the dean or producer, in all aspects of production and post-production.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022Archive: digitize tapes to assist in compilation of Italics archive for future video library.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022BFA, MA, MFA, or the equivalent from an accredited college in a related field and three years of shooting and editing for television.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022Excellent working knowledge of Premiere Pro required.\u2022Good knowledge of technical aspects of TV production required.\u2022Strong working knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio equipment required.\u2022Adept at English-language writing and verbal communication skills required.\u2022Efficient communication with the production team, organized, enthusiastic, creative, ready to collaborate and solve technical problems, reliable.\u2022Experience with After Effects and Photoshop a plus.\u2022Working knowledge of Italian desirable.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SALARY:&nbsp;<\/strong>Commensurate with experience.
