I’m the Community Partnerships Associate with POV Engage, the Engagement department within AmDoc that oversees the internship program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through our internship program, interns will gain training and mentorship through our hands-on educational program, designed to provide a “behind-the-scenes” look at public media and the documentary field. We are committed to working with individuals to meet their unique learning objectives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsistence and travel stipend is available and college credit may be arranged. I would also like to note that we are not a production company. Our internship program runs year round and is parsed out by semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Summer semester goes for 12 weeks long with 24\/hr work weeks. Both the Fall and Winter\/Spring semesters run for 16 weeks long, however are shorter work weeks with 18\/hrs per week. The various departments your students may be selected for (based on their applications and follow-up interviews) are Engagement, Communications, Series (POV, America ReFramed, POV Shorts), and Development.
