Throughout the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">semester, students will have weekly programming assignments, first with an emphasis on learning the fundamentals of programming, then with a focus on internalizing concepts that will<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">be helpful for nearly any type of game you go on to make. The course assumes no prior programming knowledge&nbsp;and is designed to touch on the basic principles of digital design in the form of computer code.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MEDP 25000 &#8211; Digital Design and Usability (class 4744)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mo 4:00PM &#8211; 6:50PM in person, Hunter North 1001A<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This class will focus on understanding the fundamental elements and principles of design:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Typography \u2022 Point\/Line\/Plane \u2022 Rhythm\/Balance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Scale \u2022 Texture \u2022 Color<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Framing \u2022 Grid \u2022 Figure\/Ground<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Hierarchy \u2022 Layers \u2022 Transparency<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Modularity \u2022 Pattern \u2022 Diagram<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students will learn to communicate ideas by using design software to manipulate these elements and principles of design.
