We\u2019re the Film Department of the Austin Film Festival, and we\u2019re reaching out to introduce ourselves and connect with you about how we can be a resource for your students through&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/austinfilmfestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/2026-Call-For-Entries-Brochure-SINGLE-PAGE-compressed.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AFF\u2019s&nbsp;2026 Script and Film Competitions<\/a>&nbsp;which are open for submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have already mailed&nbsp;you&nbsp;a physical packet with printed materials about our competitions which we\u2019d love for you to share with your students.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/austinfilmfestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/CFE-Student-Postcard-2026-4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Linked here<\/a>&nbsp;is&nbsp;a digital postcard&nbsp;detailing&nbsp;specific opportunities including a discount code to submit their scripts and films to our competitions.&nbsp;We&nbsp;would&nbsp;appreciate&nbsp;if you&nbsp;could&nbsp;share this with your students and colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would also be more than happy to speak with your students in an upcoming class about our competitions and how to navigate film festivals. We typically coordinate these over a virtual call so please let us know if you are interested in scheduling a time that works best for your students as they wrap up their class projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For over three decades, our Script and Film Competitions&nbsp;have functioned in support of our mission to&nbsp;connect creatives, and&nbsp;provide emerging talent with meaningful opportunities, mentorship, and real access.
