Blackstone LaunchPad at CUNY <\/strong>invites you to join our Winter Innovation Sprint! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

**<\/strong>Apply for the Innovation Sprint before Nov 19<\/a><\/u><\/strong>**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the application asks, “Who is your CIE Hybrid Advisor?” please input the name of our department chair <\/em>Kelly Anderson<\/em><\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Innovation Sprint? <\/em><\/strong>This dynamic, collaborative event will guide students through the innovation process to help solve real-world challenges. Teams have 4 days to design and pitch their solution for a chance to win cash prizes totaling over $6500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How it works:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thur. Dec 5<\/em>:<\/strong> Companies present challenges; students form teams and start ideation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fri. Dec 6<\/em>: <\/strong>Teams have opportunity to ask questions of companies & work together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sat. & Sun. Dec 7 & 8<\/em>:<\/strong> Develop, prototype and test solutions; create the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mon. Dec 9<\/em>:<\/strong> Hone the presentation and pitch to win prize money!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter \u201824 company partners are L\u2019Oreal and Deloitte, two leaders of their respective industries. This opportunity will give you a chance to understand a business, learn tangible skills and present to industry professionals. It\u2019s also a great professional project to feature on your resume for prospective employers<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants will get a $100 stipend<\/u>, lunch each day and a great addition to your resume.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes for winning teams: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

$3500 first place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$2000 second place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$1000 third place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will confirm your acceptance by Nov 22.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Innovation Sprint also requires you to <\/em>commit approximately 5 to 6 hours to work<\/em><\/strong> independently (virtually or in-person, but independently arranged) with your team on <\/em>Saturday 12\/7 and\/or Sunday 12\/8.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
