DIRT EMPIRE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeking part-time skilled studio assistant for paid internship at Dirt Empire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dirt Empire is an award-winning hybrid production company\/creative studio out of Dumbo, Brooklyn. We specialize in<\/p>\n\n\n\n

designing and storytelling for live events and mixed reality experiences. We work across many industries: art, music,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

journalism, filmmaking, tech, crypto, award shows, etc. We produce projects in VR, live projection, film, broadcast,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

installation and stage design. Past clients include The New Yorker, NAACP, United Nations, Atlantic Records,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyonce, Weezer and the UFC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates must be creative and inter-disciplinary. Working knowledge of some combination of digital creative<\/p>\n\n\n\n

software is a must; Adobe Suite, Blender, Touch Designer, Unity etc. Undergraduate degree from an art or design<\/p>\n\n\n\n

program is a big plus. Ability to ideate across multiple softwares and skills a must. We will be producing slide decks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

as well as production media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This role would be good for aspiring multi-skilled creatives – creative technologists, animation\/VFX artists, game<\/p>\n\n\n\n

designers etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We DON\u2019T expect everyone to be able to do all of the above but some combination is necessary. We DO expect<\/p>\n\n\n\n

people to also be happy engaging in occasional lower-level tasks when in the office i.e. running errands, grabbing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

coffee, and miscellaneous physical tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Platforms\/Software experience (Mac or PC)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Productivity Software:<\/strong> Google Docs, Slack, Notion<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adobe Suite:<\/strong> Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3D:<\/strong> Maya, Cinema 4D, Rhino, Blender, Houdini. Fundamental understanding of modeling, lighting, texturing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

dynamics etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Film:<\/strong> DaVinci, Fusion<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interactive:<\/strong> Unity, Unreal, Processing (Java\/Python), Touch Designer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aesthetic\/design\/theory background:<\/strong> Graphic Design, Architecture, Illustration<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Film\/Media production:<\/strong> Directing, Editing, Storyboarding, Producing, Screenwriting<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good communication skills, being proactive, ability to work with a team and eagerness to learn is a must.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates will be exposed to different technical and creative pipelines.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf The position would be 4-8 hrs\/day 2-3 days\/week depending on project schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Includes travel stipend and occasional meals on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Stipend based on availability $25\/hr max $2000-$3000\/month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Payment every two weeks – you must log your own time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf This can be combined between in-person and remote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
