You&#8217;ll also need to fill out this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fm.hunter.cuny.edu\/~internweb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/InternshipFormOOA4_29FINAL.pdf\">Office of the Arts Internship Program Application<\/a>.]<\/p>\n<p>Dear colleagues:<\/p>\n<p>I am happy to announce that Hunter\u2019s new Office of the Arts (OOA) is making awards to undergraduate students with unpaid internships in the arts this Summer, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Awards of $1500 for 4 weeks (full-time) and $3000 for 8 weeks (full-time) will be granted. Note: Student must have received an internship before applying for an Office of the Arts Summer Internships Award.<\/p>\n<p>The Guidelines are written below and a Guidelines flyer and the Internship form is attached. Please distribute to your students and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student must be an undergraduate student majoring or minoring in an arts department, program or concentration (art, art history, creative writing, dance, film, media, music, theatre)<\/li>\n<li>have a 3.0 GPA<\/li>\n<li>have completed at least 12 credits in the arts discipline<\/li>\n<li>be a U.S. citizen or a green card holder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>STUDENTS\u2019 OBLIGATIONS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Need to find the internships themselves<\/li>\n<li>Meet with Faculty mentor\/advisor who will determine:<br \/>\n1) Legitimacy of internship activities that student will perform and support, if any, student will receive<br \/>\n2) Review student resume and application\/ letter for the internship itself<br \/>\n3) Write letter of recommendation to the Office of the Arts supporting funding request<br \/>\n4) Sign internship contract between student, Hunter and host institution<br \/>\n5) Review the written report student writes after completing the internship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>APPLICATION PROCESS<\/p>\n<p>Initial Submission to OOA for Consideration for Summer Internships Award<\/p>\n<p>Student must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit an Internship contract signed by host institution, student, and faculty advisor.<\/li>\n<li>Provide letter of recommendation from faculty mentor\/advisor.<\/li>\n<li>Provide proof of citizenship (SS#) or copy of green card (front and back)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once granted the OOA award: Midway Progress Report Responsibility<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student must submit a progress report on the internship with the signature of the Internship supervisor at host institution after either week 2 or week 4 of the internship.
