Sound Coop Intern Position Announcement
2023-2024 Academic Year<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description
Established, growing sound-for-picture company looking to hire an intern with strong motivation to pursue a career in field sound
work in the video production industry. Company is a democratically-controlled, worker-owned co-operative. There is a path to
worker-ownership of the company for all workers including interns. The intern hired for this position will need strong organizational,
time management, and communications skills, and a strong capacity to adapt to the day-to-day challenges in the multiple logistical,
interpersonal, and technical facets of field sound work.
Responsibilities
\u25cf Picking up and delivering audio gear around New York City
\u25cf Shipping and Receiving
\u25cf Communicating with freelance mixers and audio gear rental\/repair\/sales houses.
\u25cf Data entry
\u25cf Organizing audio gear
\u25cf Preparing audio packages for jobs
\u25cf Special projects based on an intern’s skills and interests
Requirements
\u25cf A basic understanding of sound-for-picture audio equipment
\u25cf Computer skills including Google Docs and Gmail.
\u25cf Flexible schedule: regular shifts will be scheduled. However, some hours will be as-needed and on-call, as is the nature of
the sound-for-picture business.
\u25cf Academic-year commitment, 12 hours\/week.
