Description: “Sounds Like Staten Island” is a sound mapping project where citizens of Staten Island can record and upload (and download) the sounds that make up the acoustic environment of the island. The initiative uses projects such as audio postcards, and scavenger hunts to encourage what has been extensive participation from schools and cultural organizations across Staten Island.
